Hearth.com sends Forum member to National Trade Show
Hearth.com Forum members sent Corie, an aspiring stove engineer to the 2007 Reno Fireplace Trade Show - As a result, Corie has now received a position at Englander Stove in Virginia, where he will be starting work this June. Select title link above for full story.

Corie Podschelne is a long time Hearth.com contibutor and forum member who is an engineering student at Villanova. He is the only engineering student I have ever heard of with the goal of becoming a stove maker! In pursuit of this goal, Corie has studied stoves and fireplaces on his own, built his own stove, and even started a charitable program to help some needy folks in the Philadelphia area install stoves and chimneys!
The Stove and Fireplace industry has a yearly Trade Show, which was held in Reno this year. Corie needed to go there for both his continuing education and for job prospects. But he had a problem - Corie is already WAY into debt paying for his college - let alone that he has spent all his mad money on tools and supplies to help other people stay warm!
So I put $250 in the pot and asked our Forum members to help send Corie to Reno. Our readers stepped up to the plate, and we easily raised over $1,000 for airfare, hotel, ground transportation and meals…Corie was on his way.
Corie soaked up the show - met all the movers and shakers - and virtually everyone who met this young man was impressed. As a result of contacts made at the show, Corie had some great job prospects….and has recently announced his employment at Englander Stove in Monroe, VA.
Congrats to Corie - the crowd at Hearth.com is very proud and we know you will be a force in the future of the industry.
