Morsø Introduces New Products For 2003
Morsø, a leading European stove manufacturer, is proud to announce the Morsø 4600 Series wood burning stoves and the DV250 gas insert for the North American market. The Morsø 4600 is EPA non-catalytic approved, while the DV250 gas insert offers consumers a distinctive choice in gas insert design both inside and outside the stove.
“We have developed these products to fit specific needs within our product portfolio and broaden the Morsø offering for our North American customers, one of our fastest growing customer bases,” said Peter Jessen Hansen, Managing Director of Morsø.
The 4600 Wood Burning Stove Series:
The Morsø 4600 Series models are available with either decorative painted steel or brushed stainless steel sides. This Morsø product is a vertical style offering, an alternative to shorter, wider wood burning stoves on legs. The 4600 Series smaller “footprint” and close clearances are also helpful in areas where usable space is a primary consideration. Like other Morsø models, the 4600 Series has a 6” reversible flue collar to vent straight back or up. At 25,000 Btu’s, the 4600 Series heats up to 800 sq. ft.
The 4600 models have a large “stay-clean” glass design, high-efficiency secondary combustion system, and ash pan. Offered with a ten-year limited warranty, the 4600 Series has a cast iron firebox lined with firebrick for durability. Recommended retail price range is $1700 - $1999.
The DV250 Gas Insert:
The new gas product for 2003, DV250’s exterior classic design has simple clean lines to blend well with both traditional and contemporary fireplaces. The large uncluttered “Cleanview” glass shows off the flame. The beautifully-shaped extruded-aluminum surround is sized at 40”W x 31”H to cover most fireplace openings and the DV250’s Btu input of 33,000 will help heat a house of almost any size.
Deep within, the firebox is filled with flame, front to back. The heavy-duty cast iron burner provides flame in over seven different areas around the firebox. On top of the burner are vacuum-formed ceramic logs in a “depleted log” design to complete a very realistic wood-like flame. A quiet 110-cfm blower helps move the heat from the Insert to the room. The blower is controlled by a variable speed control and thermostat, so that operation can be completely automatic if required. An optional remote control is also available for convenience.
Morsø Glass Hearth Pads:
Morsø Glass Hearth Pads are the most unique hearth pads available today and can be used for wood, gas, and coal burning stoves. All Morsø Glass Hearth Pads are heavy duty, resistant to heat and shock, and weigh under 70 lbs. All four pads have sculptured/beveled edges and are available in different shapes and sizes such as square, rectangle, half-moon, and teardrop / corner. Retail price range is $175 - $325.
Mr. Hansen concluded with “We strongly believe that our 2003 Product Line shows our commitment to the North America market. We will continue to strengthen the line with quality and market-driven products and programs to help our Morsø Dealers sell-through. And, we will continue to give consumers a wide choice to fit their aesthetic and heating needs.”
