Quadra-Fire Introduces Industry’s Largest Gas Fireplace
MINNEAPOLIS—(September 11, 2006)—If King Kong could have wooed a beautiful Hollywood starlet in front of a gas fireplace, the new Quadra-Fire® QFP44 direct-vent gas fireplace would have been it. With a viewing area of more than 1,400 square inches, the QFP44 showcases an extra-large fire roaring from a hefty ceramic log set that’s cast directly from actual firewood for an authentic experience. It is the largest furnace-rated direct-vent gas fireplace on the market.
Boasting more than 80 percent thermal efficiency, the QFP44 generates more than 50,000 Btu/hour making it a practical heat source for many homes. And for those times when a homeowner simply wants to take a chill out of a room, the unit can be adjusted down to 13,000 Btu/hour. In addition, homeowners can transfer surplus heat to other rooms of the home with a heat zone kit that adds one or two air ducts to circulate heat.

Adding to its traditional look and feel, the QFP44 employs rugged, hand-forged steel doors available in two designs with child safety screens. It also features a glowing front coal bed that creates a realistic impression of a mature fire. Traditional andirons, originally used to keep firewood elevated and help it burn, are available to augment the ambiance.
