Broken fire brick - # 1432

Question:

We purchased a l948 Warm Morning wood stove (top loading model).  The inside is lined with fire bricks, however many of them are broken.  Is there any way that we can attach the broken pieces?

Answer:

You can fix them using a patching refractory cement available in many masonry supply stoves and/or hardware stores. You may even be able to find replacements at a place like:
Woodman Associates or Stove Parts Unlimited.  Both can be found at the Hearth.com stove parts page linked below.
