Setting draft dials on Garrison Stove - # 2207
Question:How are the round dials at the back of a Garrison Stove adjusted. No matter what I do to build a fire with the doors open and the screen in place, I fill the house with smoke. If I open the air intakes the smoke just comes outh through them to fill the house. If I close them them the smoke comes out throught the doors ???

Read the HearthNet articles (see link at bottom of this page) about starting a fire and about chimneys. Also check the Q and A section. You have a reversing chimney which has to be “started” before you light a fire.
