ARTICLES - General - How much heat does that room need?
The form below allows you to estimate the amount of BTUs required to heat a room. The calculation is based on a normally insulated home in a temperate climate zone such as the Mid Altantic States. Note: This is a general guide only - Consult your heating professional for more accurate heat load calculations.

Room Width in feet
Room Length in feet
Square feet of exterior door area (note: most exterior wood doors are 20 sq. ft )
Total Window Area in square feet
Is there a Fireplace in the room? yes -> no - >
