The search box above uses google to search every document and page on the Hearth.com site! This consists of many thousands of pages of information, so some hints and directions might help you to make sense of the results.
1. This differs from the "section" searches like the Forum Search and the Question and Answer Search. Those searches just cover those particular sections. This search covers ALL sections.
2. Google may be a "friendlier" search, but it returns a lot of results, so try to keep your search terms more specific - for instance search for "Stove glowing red hot" or "Jotul Casting loading" as opposed to simple one word terms.
3. You can get "smart" about the results page......since Goggle does list the "location" of where your search results are located. As a for instance, a search on Jotul Castine brings up some of the following results:

A. www.hearth.com/talk/threads/jotul-castine-update.86032/
B. www.hearth.com/econtent/index.php/QA_Templates/info/1758/
C. www.hearth.com/ratesingles/rate1796.html With a little experience, you will be able to see where clicking on the results will guide you to. For instance:

A= the forums - see that part of the line which says "/talk/"? Any result with that in it is from our Forums.
B= Questions and Answers, again the '/QA_Templates/" part is the hint
C=Stove ratings
and so on.
Most of our sections have names (URL addresses - web addresses) which you can translate - for instance you will see the world "articles" (for main articles) and "gall" for stuff in the picture gallery.

Note: if you are now completely confused, keep in mind that Hearth.com consists of MANY thousands! Your best bet might be to go back to our Home Page and navigate around using the links or the Drop Down Menu box located there.
