Can anyone tell me roughly how old a Large wood-burning Napoleon fireplace insert might be?  It has the gold door and a brown backplate, but the blower is below the door and pulls out easily. Is this unit catalytic or non-catalytic?  The seller is a new occupier of the house and has no info.  Is this model any better or worse than the current 1400 series?
Thanks for any news

There seem to be three current models of inserts a couple of which I am willing to bet have been around for some time.  Try a google image search and you can see them

They also make a bay-window type insert that’s a pellet stove.  Not sure about the older models but the people here are incredible at figuring it out if you have a picture!
