I am not a pellet burner myself, and also know that there are not to many from colorado here, but was at a Costco Wholesale, and they had confluence energy, made in kremmling colorado from bettle kill pine. they were 4.19 for a 44 pound bag. Guess thats about 188.55 a ton or so? just to throw some info into the pellet pile. Denver and Colorado Springs from what I was told.

I saw these in my Colorado Springs Costco as well. I bought EcoFlame two years ago when they first started producing pellets there. They were very very ashy. I called and spoke with them directly and then admitted to having problems, but now they have fixed those problems and they have a very good product. I will be buying them this year from Costco.
I was also at Sams Club here in Colorado Springs and they are selling Pennington’s 40lb bag for $3.72
I have burned the EcoFlame brand and they did pretty well for me. Hopefully this year I can try the Platinum Fire as well.
Sounds simmilar to the Rocky mountain I burned last year. Still have a few bags left, but they are out of stock so far this season.
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but it is my understanding that Rocky Mtn. pellets from CO will NOT be available in NE this season (2010/2011). I am not aware of any dealer who is getting any new stock in… some dealers may have some left over from last winter.
The rockies dealers near me are all reporting no stock this year! I don’t know why though. Any clues to why no New England sales?
I will call them tomorrow and see if I can find out who will be carrying the Platinums. I asked if Costco would be carrying them in addition to the EcoFlame, and she told me they usually only have 1 type of pellet grade per store.
There’s a new plant in Silver Plume, http://www.eepellets.com that should be up and running soon. They’re haveing to work out a few bugs, but ought to be ready by fall. i’ve heard Confluence has some issues with drying, but haven’t spoken to Mark about it.
