Here is a link to a thread about painting black stoves different colors. A couple of things struck me about this article that I would like to mention here.

1. Black stoves are black because that color radiates heat best. Any other color will cause a loss of radiation eficiency of the stove. The loss is not a lot but it does bottle some heat up in the stove that would otherwise transfer more easily to the room. keeping this in mind, prehaps just some accent trim in different complimenting colors will acchieve the effect of making that black stove look better while keeping most of the stove still black for higher ratiation efficiency.

2. Do the repaint job in the spring ,summer or fall , because the spray paint really stinks & you MUST wear the proper painting mask called for on the spray paint can & have some doors & windows open & 2 ventalation fans
going, one to blow fresh air in, but not on your paint job as dust particles might stick to the paint, & the other to suck the paint spray out the door or window.
In the past 8 years, spray paints for cars, & prehaps even generally, have been getting more & more toxic & in some cases, quickly lethal, so unelse you want to get sick & even die ,please wear the proper resperiator mask for the paint you are spraying.

I didn’t know about the change in paint formulas until my friend reciently told me & what he said clicked with some other things i had seen before for myself but hadn’t understood or caught on to.

You will be safe with the resperators ,fans & ventilaton ,so don’t let my warnings scare you, meerly use the mask,
fans & open a door & window.
