Peter Albertson is a hearth industry pioneer, having been introduced to the business when he worked at Corning Glass Works, developer of the first catalytic converters for woodstoves.

He become involved in many catalytic and high efficiency non-cat stove designs, with a specialty in cast iron units imported from overseas.

Since the early 1980’s, Peter has been associated with two companies, Applied Energy Systems and Nu-Tec. AES is a major supplier and fabricator of Schott high temperature ceramic glass for stoves and Nu-Tec is a supplier of stoves and stoves castings. Both companies are located in RI.
