Winter is over, but you wouldn't know it by the March 31 snowstorm here in Southern New Jersey. We got about 7 inches of heavy snow... So, the stoves and fireplaces are still being used here.

We also had a 3 hour hour power outage recently..It was after dark, so we simply lit up the candles and flashlights and fired up the woodstove. Reminds me that a wood or gas appliance can provide "heating insurance" when your furnace breaks, runs out of oil, or when the power fails.

New HearthNet Feature - Searchable Q and A database..

We finally did it. Our archive of over 450 hearth related questions and answers have been put into a searchable database. Instead of paging though the dozens of digests, you can now simply enter a search term and retrieve the matching entires.

This solution is running on a Macintosh Server (on my desk) running the Filemaker Pro database and Lasso Lite, which ties the database to the web.

Please check it out at http://chi.hearth.com/search.html
