Their office/store hours are a bit unpredictable so be patient. As far as I = know, they no longer import the Ruegg fireplaces, but may have a few left. Gary Steck is one of the partners in the company. Good luck.   Heidi Alber

Yes, Canterbury does indeed = manufacture a log lighter. I suppose the design would be similar but on a slightly = more sophisticated level. I will pursue additional questions with them. I = have their address and phone number. I appreciate your thoughtfulness.   Heidi Alber Alber's Fireplaces

I will definitely watch "The Devil's Advocate" again. = Do >you have any idea who might produce this item?       I don't think anyone manufactures it. I think you have to be creative. = What if you used a Peterson 50-some-odd inches long burner tube w/o the logs? I'd guess you'd have to build the firebox out of masonry so that the fieplace's interior hearth were recessed below the lip of the opening so the source of the flame could not be seen. Or you could see who the production designer was for the movie and contact him/her to find out how they did it, altho' there's no guarantee that what was done would be considered acceptable for a residential installation.   Noel Gilmore Autumn Moon Fireplaces Port St. Lucie, FL
(back) Subject: 18" Class A From: "Noel Gilmore" <[email protected]> Date: Mon, 18 Sep 2000 17:05:14 -0400   We're bidding on a job which the architect seems to think requires 18" Class A chimney. It doesn't matter that the architect is probably wrong...the builder just wants it bid as specified. Any leads on where we could get such a product?   Noel Gilmore Autumn Moon Fireplaces Port St. Lucie, FL   -------------------     (webmasters note - doesn't metalbestos offer these sizes as a special = order?)
