Likes: Burns great. Good draw, no smoke.Even works with the door fully open. There is no screen, but this would work if we lose elec. for fan. Puts out lots of heat.

Dislikes: Noisy fan but I am going to move it this summer. Must clean ashes out daily to have good fire.
Manufacturer was useless when I installed. Couldn't answer many of my questions. (I use to install Heatalators)
It has a fresh air feed door but it just dumps the cold air in the room. Poor design. I don't use it.

Comments: Actually bought in 2004.I Replaced a freestanding unit with the zero clearance. Wife didn't like "big black box" in the floor. I had an existing double lined flue that met the requirements. This was the only fireplace I could find that I didn't need to buy a fireplace, then an insert. Heats whole house with no problem. I read the other review of the 51 insert and that person has no draw.
