Likes: This is a huge stove. It takes long pieces of wood. The firebox is large and you can pack it up nicely. The glass view is large and beautiful. It is easy to start a fire with, it holds heat well (we had a woodstock stove before and it holds heat just as well as a soapstone), heat the house well, really easy to use, efficient, I just can't say enough good things about this stove. I love it!!

Dislikes: The ashpan is worthless. I don't even use it!

Comments: We first bought a brand new woodstock fireview and it would not draft for anything - it would not get over 400 degrees. So we sent it back. BTW - the woodstock people are wonderful and amazing - I think the stoves are great - it just didn't work in our house.

So I bought a used Waterford stove - $600 with insulated SS pipe. This stove is a dream! It get hot quickly, starts fires easily, it reached 600 degrees in less than an hour.
