Likes: Great heat output, when the fan works properly, it's great.
Easy to adjust burn rate/output.

Dislikes: The fan design has problems. We're on our 4th fan in 2 years. We've had problems with the thermostat, rheostat, and fan motor - all at different times/different motors. This last one makes a loud screeching noise about half the time.

Comments: This is our second Buck Model 80. The 1st one, purchased around '93 was wonderful in every aspect. I was so pleased with it that I never considered anything else. I replaced it in '05 and still regret it. We are on our 4th fan motor. The dealer is slow. The manufacturer has not returned 2 calls placed last week. Rather than put another penny in this stove, I'm replacing it with a Lopi.
