Likes: Easy to load and easy to start. Very well behaved stove that can put out some serious heat, yet behaves well with smaller fires for fall and spring burning. The cast iron mass holds the heat for a very long time, almost like a soapstone stove. Top trivets are a treat for bread rising, mitten drying. The ash disposal system is pretty trick and fairly dust free. There's even a slot in the ash lip to move ash directly into the ash pan. Nice detail.
Dislikes: Heavy stove with a lot of mass. It takes a bit longer to come up to temperature. Door latch is a bit macho compared to some of the refined cast iron stoves. Air control lever is stamped steel. Feels cheap on a deluxe stove like this, but does it's job.
Comments: This stove has surpassed our expectations. It is very well behaved and easy to use. It has very close clearances which made the installation of a large stove in a corner installation work well. The simple design is quite effective and efficient. Holds a fire and puts out meaningful heat for a long time. No problem for overnight burns. This is a great stove.
