Likes: Good looks
Burns well with a full load on the colest days (about 0 or -15 here)
Dislikes: Emptying ash pan is messy, must be done daily.
Difficult loading if stove has any residual embers or fire.
Poor burning with small loads (3-4 splits) on 30 degree days
Higher wood consumption than with a non-EPA stove
Morso customer service was not helpful and unacceptable
Comments: We have the stove installed with 5' of 6" stove pipe including 1 elbow feeding into a 22' 8x8 ceramic flue, masonry chimney (no trees near house). With this configuration, the stove has had insufficient draft and burns poorly with smaller loads (3 splite).
The only "fix" offered was installation (at our expense) of a 6" flue liner, with no guarantee of improved performance.
If you purchase this stove, I would ONLY advise its installation with a "straight shot" of 6" stove pipe and a long run (25').
We have heated with wood for 28 years, using a non-EPA Upland 207 prior to 2007. This stove worked very well and did not have any of the problems associated with the Morso.
Some forum members are very please with this stove, but we are not.
