Likes: Beautiful to look at. Soapstone gives gentle, long-lasting heat once stove is warm. Burns up to 12 hours on a single load of wood. Catalyst means smoke is burned: resulting in more heat and less pollution. No "middle-man" to pay: buy direct from the manufacturer. Telephone and email customer support is prompt, courteous and knowledgeable.

Dislikes: Need to arrange delivery to a business address, and then delivery from there to your residential address. Very, very heavy to move. Installation instructions could be more concise, better illustrated, and more comprehensive: we had to make several emails and phone calls to customer support to check we were doing things correctly.

Comments: We installed this stove a few weeks ago and have had 3 fires in it so far. There is clearly a knack to getting the position of the draft lever right, and we still need to experiment with the best size of wood to put on the kindling in early burn stages, so that we can more quickly get the stove up to the temperature where we can engage the catalyst. However, our third fire lasted 9 hours on just 5 small logs, so we are clearly improving our technique! I think overnight burning should be entirely possible with a larger load. We have it installed in the center of our open-plan living space (kitchen, dining, living room) and can sit near it without getting overly hot. It's so much prettier than any other stove we saw (and we looked at dozens of stoves over several months). I would definitely buy this stove again.
