Likes: Beautiful burn, nice heat, nice design, overall good working stove. Choice of top load, or front load (theoretically) but you will front load, (see CONS). Super easy lighting.
Dislikes: Firebricks crack/break from front loading wood impacts, which is unavoidable to prevent no matter how careful you try not to hit the rear of the stove. Metal firebrick retainer is low gauge and deforms after a few years. Sticky baffle that jams preventing top loading. Also not usable if stove is somewhat full. Andirons are cheaply mounted and break repeatedly. Ash pan is rather small for heavy use
Comments: An overall great stove, that's a nice compromise between hard worker and beautiful looker, but with some design flaws that detract from full satisfaction. Think of a high maintenance girlfriend. Chunky wood can be difficult to get in the stove, between the upper baffle and the taper-to-the -rear firebox shape. Ashpan could be bigger, so stay on top of it.
You regret buying this stove but be prepared to deal with operational irritants. Manufacturer was excellent support.
