Likes: Large firebox, can really be loaded for the night. Heats the whole home down to below 0 degrees. Uses 40 percent less wood than old fireplace and cut my LP backup use in half. Very nice looking unit, glass stays clean with a hot fire.

Dislikes: Had to replace fan (Rattle). Air intake booster works poorly.Took over 6 months to get parts, can't even call Vermont Castings (have to go through dealer). Takes to long for fan to kick in. Loud fans.

Comments: Picked out this unit for the large firebox and glad we did. We have poor draw but we live behind a hill. Can only be loaded when it gets down to coals (or it smokes house)and then can use only one door. This is a pure heating machine as its usually very warm in the house. We leave it burn usually 24 hrs a day. We disconnectd fan thermastat and just leave that run about med speed. Installer was great but getting parts from manufacturer sucked. Wood and LP savings (and got the $1500 tax credit) will pay for this unit in about 4 years.
