Anything you really want to keep should be in multiple places.....

I even take my old hard drives to another physical location in case this house burns down.

Not to worry, just run "defrag". Over the years we forget Parts of things that are unimportant and the remaining things clutter up our brains. That is what takes up space and does not allow room for more!! You are not loosing your memory, simply misplacing it.

I am very unorganized - because I always had a good memory, so never developed habits like a calendar or schedule!

Seriously...never had a schedule......
Now I am going to have to fix some of that......like strap an iphone to my arm and have it remind me of anything and everything.

Never had a Daytimer or any of that stuff. Just always remembered the stuff. I still remember the day that didn't work. Bought a Palm Pilot the next day.

Digital back up and hard copy. Hard copy often gets lost. Buckets of old slides, and drawers full of old pic's. Best access is when I sort them out in digital format and make back ups. Made a lot of DVDs but can't help but feel that in the not so distant future, those dvd's will become obsolete and may not be able to be viewed. Remember all that data on those floppies and zip drives?. I had to toss buckets of them because I could no longer access them.
I recently saw one senior'sapartment cleaned out after she went to a nursing home. All her picture albums went to the dump. So sad!
