How do I go about finding someone to purchase logs in the NY/PA area? I have seen several postings on here about people selling walnut and there is a possibility that I have access to a lot of it.

ANOTHER IS TO FIND A LOGGER OR SAWMILL IN YOUR AREA. CALL THE NORTEASTERN LOGGERS ASSOCIATION IN OLD FORGE N.Y. THEY ARE MY FIRST CALL IF I WERE IN YOUR SHOES,FOUND OUT EARLY SELLING LOGS IS A JOB FOR PROS NOT NEW PEOPLE. BEST OF LUCK.

Definitely I'd call a mill as they know who the loggers are. Or if you see someone hauling logs, try to get their name and perhaps phone number from the side of the truck. See on buying fuel, stop and talk to the man. Good luck Rory.
