Not familar with them, send more info/photos when you can.

Thats an AES product (Magnum / American Energy Systems) and some of there stoves burn great... Some are pretty Chitty..

The Baby Countryside is probably there biggest Fail I have seen. While the Big original Countryside is a Helluva stove.

If the Rascal is anything like the Baby, it will take a little work, but it can be a burning beast. My buddies now burns great, after a couple mods and newer (thicker) gaskets.

Whats the Price point on it?

Hello

The Country Flame Little Rascal is nothing like the Magnum Baby CountrySide! The Baby can certainly be made into a good stove. I also heard the Rascal needs to be kept very, very clean to work well.

I have a friend who has a Rascal that she got for free from a lady that won it from a stove shop raffel. I am sure there was a reason for giving it away! Well she used it very little and now has the Infamous Highway Mode error! I have not had a chance to get up there to see it, but did alot of research as to what the problem may be!

Now there is a Troubleshooting Video on YouTube about it. It is mostly about cleaning since that is where most of the problems are.

All AES products have a tendency to suffer from very shotty assembly. While the designs may be okay at best, the feed systems often fail because they were not assembled properly. The wiring harnesses often fall off the hangers because they just use stickers to secure them....then the wires short out when the fall against the exhaust. If the stove has an igniter (I do not think the Rascal does), the air intake hole alignment is often buried within insulation or obstructed. The control boards are counter intuitive and will challenge your wits the entire time you own it.

Oh...and the air wash on that stove has a stronger pull than the burn pot so you have to stuff some rope gasket on the left and right side to eliminate poor burning. Sounds like a fun stove to own doesn't it.

Price is 150.00 OBO. Been trying to contact seller but no return message yet. At that price I will at least give it a good look.

Scott it sounds like some time spent with gasket material and/or perhaps a stronger combustion blower along with a bit of poking around might get one of them to burn a lot better.

Think I am going to pass on this one. This is a 7 year old stove that currently is not working. replaced the blower motor, control panel and wiring, proof of fire sensor. If anyone else is interested, CL Vermont.

yep, that's the one. I'm looking for a small unit to put in our kitchen. Did a little on-line research and my ultimate catch would be an Enviro Mini. Someday I will run into one.

what were the mods that your buddy made to the little rascal

He has a Baby Countryside and did an air wash mod (plugged up a portion of the air wash/ 30%-50% of the air on the sides) and a burn pot mod (plugging some of the upper holes / one to two rows with foil tape or furnace cement to experiment. Then doing something more permanent when you find what works best?)

If you search Baby countryside and search posts by Jrsdws and barnyard840x you will find some threads that go more into detail. (On the Baby)
