Too bad for you guys and my sister . . . she says kings taste like "candy."

Aww man, that sucks. Any report on why?

Some blame the commercial salmon fishermen with nets near the mouth of the rivers.
Some blame the big seiner fishing boats are taking the kings where they go to grow up.
Some blame the 700 Kenai river guides who take 4 folks, twice a day on the river & keep every fish they catch. These fish are the ones that will spawn & make fish that will return 5 to 7 years from now.

Pretty simple when you add the fishing pressure of the above 3 groups, it's being over fished.
Then add in the local sports fishermen, bears, birds, predator fish that eat the eggs & fry.

Happened to Stripers in Maryland...The DNR regs. brought them back! Tough call...But I gotta belive it's the commercial guys that deplete the herd.

But totally agree with you ...Overfished!

If I was heading your way to fish, I wouls appreciate the warning! Thanks for the info!
