Ahhh the joys of super soakers! I was a kid when the original one came out pictured below. Most fun I ever had as a kid, it was the coolest toy you could possibly have.

I am sure your sons are having a blast with the modern versions today!

Ahh...Childhood memories for me! The squirt guns held like an ounce of water...and to quote my Mom...If you come back in the house one more to fill that thing I'm gonna beat your A$$!

Do you remember when they came out with the backpack that held a ton of water? It could hook up to the squirter, it was amazing, sadly I never had one, my friend did though. The pangs of jealousy are still very fresh. :p haha

Cleaning out the garage I found a box of supersoakers. I gave then to a couple local girls when their mother was picking up some other giveaways. You should have seen the look of joy in their eyes.

Awesome pic. Is that big Leo a shedder?

I heard horror stories about them shedding, not so bad yet. We do brush him every couple days. I think next summer might be the one. As he is losing his puppy hair and getting his mane in the front. We will see.

I never called the one I had a super-soaker. It was a pistol version and was used as a feline training tool. Worked wonders and was fun to use. Had two cats at the time. One absolutely hated to be hit, the other wasn't so offended. Even came to a point where he would sit back and let the gun empty on him.

Hehheh . . . one of my cats -- Andrew Jackson -- is like that. He has thick fur and I suspect his father may have been or had some Maine coon cat in him. He'll be up on the counter and I'll warn him to get down several times and then show him the spray bottle . . . and if he stays I'll spray him and he just kind of looks at me with this look in his eyes like, "Yeah, whatever."
