Despite this horrible heat wave, I'm still scoring some decent scrounges. Best of all, my bro-in-law is delivering it right to the splitting area. Mostly silver maple. Burned a bunch of silver maple last year and was very pleased. Burns hot & fast, Plus I never turn away free wood. This wood will allow me to sell another cord of my good stuff (2 year seasoned oak) for top dollar this winter.
 
You're disciplined, selling the good stuff & burning the lesser. Still hot down there? Our heat broke just last week. Only in the 80's forecast for the next few days :cool:

Glad you are getting some scrounges in this nasty heat. I cant take it like I used to but it kills me to wait till fall.
This Arkie knows what you are going thru to get wood this time of year...
