Saw that on the news last night, Unbelievable!! It looked at though he dropped a 20-ton crusher on them...
Time for anger management class?

They should have left him and his weed alone. I would bet he would have never done that if he was stoned.

They didn't say what kinda of tractor. Bummer. Looks like it had duals. I'm going big....I'll say it was an 8600 series.

Think that guy's name is pronounced Pee-on?

Yes.

A pion is a subatomic particle.

In the sring of 1995 I was living in San Diego when an ex-Army wacko got into the National Guard Armory and drove out in an M60 tank. Went on a binge of destruction & mayhem. Finally got stuck on the median divider on the freeway and ended up shot dead in the tank by a CHP officer.

This it the actual tractor.

Rick - I knew that guy. Shawn Nelson. He worked for my cousin (plumber) at the time (in San Dog). 4 years prior to this he broke his neck while riding/racing on a beach in Mexico. Had to airlift him out. I met him several times after the accident (before I left the Navy/ San Dog). He was down right crazy to begin with. My cousin said the accident didn't help anything.

I got a phone call during the chase - it was my cousin...said, turn on the news. We sat in silence when the end came. We knew it was just a matter of time before he killed himself or somebody did it for him.

Although I don't know the details I think it is to bad that they couldn't have taszed him or subdued him in some other way!

Make no mistake - he had it coming. He had talked about doing crazy stuff like that for the 4 years that I knew him. He was not the type of guy that you would invite to a keg party. Something would be on fire, blown up, or just simply destroyed if Shawn was involved.

He knew what he was doing...and the consequences.

Nice tractor. I'll bet he'll be trading it in to help pay for those cruisers........but ah, the memories he'll be able to pass onto the grandkids!

I read at least one article that said he stole the tractor.

It made me want to get a tractor even more. I had no idea they were so versatile.

No kidding. Leave the guy alone.

It is also a pawn, if you happen to live in Germany. btw, the Queen is a Dame there.
