I finally was able to get the installation done on the Country Canyon 310 this weekend. Now I'm ready for the burn-in! Bring on the cold weather!

Looks good DeerHunter, did you get any of the storms yesterday?

I think you're going to really like that heater. It does a good job even when the power goes out.

I find it interesting that it has an 8" exhaust and it is a non-cat stove. Even more interesting is the 8" to 6" adapter, did Lennox supply that? How tall is your chimney?

Lennox rep threw in the 8" to 6" adapter for free, which was nice ($80 value) and was designed for the stove. My chimney is 17' tall, and the liner was relatively easy to install. I needed to cut the damper frame, but I don't expect to use it again.

Yes, it was very much needed. I even took a victory nap :)

I'm starting to think that the 8" flue is just used on old stove deisgns because when the old stoves were designed to replace huge smoke dragons, the 8" flue was more common. The stoves don't actually need an 8" pipe.

Looks pretty nice, great job on the install. I bet it will look a whole lot better when there's a fire raging inside the firebox!

You might be right there Highbeam.

It's a self serving theory. I'm wanting to install a new 6" flue but use it for some stoves that have 8" flues. The other half of the theory is that a really tall 6" flue can suck just as hard as a really short 8" flue so the stove may not know the difference.

Ha, ha. Re-reading this line after a power failure earlier in Feb. Yes, we really liked the heat this was throwing out during the 4 hr power outage. I was knocking on the neighbors' doors asking if they needed to stay warm that we had room :)

Good to hear it did the job. When you have week long outages this becomes very important.
