DSCF1745 (1024x768).jpgDSCF2392.JPG I needed some new tires for the Tundra and I had been wanting to give it a little different look. Luckily I worked some overtime recently. $1100 for just the tires and mounting/balancing!

So I put a 3" BDS lift kit on the front and 2" blocks on the rear. The tires I replaced were 275/65/R18, they were 32" tires when new. I replaced them with 275/70/R18 BF Goodrich All Terrain TAs. They are 33". I like the new look. Not a great picture in the dark. Truck needs a bath and some shining up, but you can see the difference.

Nice...like the stance better.

I dread buying tires now...they come in such odd ass sizes and its all just to steal you blind. Feel like you are being fitted for a breech lever every
time you go shopping for them.

Thanks Shadow&Flame. ;lol That is true. Luckily for me I live close to where I work. In the last 1 year and 9 months I have put a total of about 12,000 miles on my truck. I am very fortunate to be so close. Not to long ago I was driving 44 miles, one way, to work everyday. When the price of gas went over 2 dollars a gallon I started driving a 4 cylinder.

Very nice truck i like the lift! In fact it is so nice I would not be able to throw a stick of wood in it, lol

;lol Thanks certified. I try to be careful when loading. I have a bed liner in it, that saves a lot. But I like to work the truck. I save a lot of money doing so many things myself with that truck. Firewood, home improvement projects, etc. Keeps me in shape as well.

Yup, it can be frustrating. You can do a bunch of your own homework/research on these folks site, and then go into a dealer armed with info. They're dang good to do business with as well. I've bought two sets of tires (one mounted on wheels) from them. Very satisfied. Rick

The truck looks good with a little altitude. I have a suspension system in my truck as well so now I need to lift the wood even higher to get it in the bed.

love the stance on the truck, Gasifier. Makes the ol' girl look like it has an attitude problem (and altitude problem) ;)

It sure is a hit to the pocket book to have a long commute...I have turned down a pretty good job to keep from driving so far from home. I just dont like the hassle and money involved in a long commute. I also went with the 4 banger when gas started to go too high...leave the toys at home...ha I still hate the fact you cant buy a small 4 cylinder turbo diesel truck...have wanted one for years.

I have a 2004 Access cab 4x4 4.7L. How is your tundra equipped? Any issues? Ours has been flawless! Would like to see better mileage (14 to 18) but that has been offset by no necessary repairs. Looking to purchase an new one.

Sharp looking truck . . . I may just well try to do the same thing when my Titan needs new shoes -- a mild lift and BFG ATs (always liked BFG ATs for tires as they wore like iron on my 4Runner.)

Thanks firefighterjake. I did not want to raise it to much. This lift combination with the tires has given it a little more ground clearance and attitude. I owned a Titan crew cab several years ago. Nice trucks. Got a pic of it?

Here is mine. Same lift plus airbags. View attachment 75706

Nice friggin truck wolfkiller! Like the color and the flatbed. I always thought it would be cool to have a flatbed. Maybe even one that dumps! That would be sweet for haulin and unloading wood. Would also be cool to have the bed I have turned into a dump bed. But I need to stop spending money. <>

Ya I love the flatbed for my needs. It is nice having the gooseneck and fifth wheel hitches also.
I don't haul wood with it but it would work well for it.
I have a lot of trailers that are lower to the ground.
I sold my stock bed, bumper, and hitch for enough to have the flatbed installed + $1000.

Damn.
Feel like I need to do something to my 06 Tundra... Oh, wait. I just filled the tank. Thats enough money spent for one day.
Love the truck but hate the mileage.
If I add any height to it as it is, my wife couldn't get into it.

Good, brother! How are you? Haven't seen you on here in a while!

I am good Scotty. I have been busy, very busy. I also try to do less computer time and more outdoor time when the weather is warmer. Better for the mind and soul. ==c

Smokin. Gotta keep the wood hauler looking good. Now get your ass back to work. ;)
Are you cutting enough wood and stayin out a trouble?
