Check this out, looks to me like a current spec MS460 setup as a concrete saw.








Stupid me, didn't get a photo of the secondary filter underneath this one. Seals into the housing nicely.



Anybody wanna take a guess at how you sharpen that?

Sharpen= liklely square up and down ( just the leading edge face) and no left right rake with a touch up on depth gauges as carbide wears . Diamond or CBN wheel .

They throw dust,not chips. I've used one a few times on the job.Sure spoil you compared to typical 12"-16" cut off saw w/round diamond blade.Like a diamond blade,they 'grind' instead of cut.

I actually was really hoping it'd be a preview of sorts as to what an MS461 (or whatever suceeds the MS460) would be but it didn't take very long to see that it has little in common with the newer saws coming out and that it was just the MS460 playing a different game.

If it's a similar treatment the MS440 got when they brought out the MS441 then yeah, I think they can pull it off. I for one would be interested in a MS441 with another 8-10 cc.

Neat - may wind up renting something like that in the somewhat near future. remodel plans call for cutting a window and eventually a door in the concrete basement wall. So I need the ability to plunge in and come to a square corner which no round wheel could do.
