Here's the Hearth link. I LOVE the log carrier, and with the sale it's a good price.

I don't work there, just like some of the products! :)

Mods, I put this in woodstoves b/c of the log racks, carriers, fireplace tools etc. but feel free to move if it's in the wrong place, with my apologies!

I've thought many times about making one. Perhaps making one of leather and this way one could carve something fancy on the carrier, or the family name, etc. It would also be easy to make one with heavy canvas or an old bag and use webbing, which one can pick up at a ridiculously low price. Might be nicer to have one you made yourself.

As for LL Bean, we used to purchase things from there but have noticed the prices going a bit high so have not bought much.

Just this week I went hunting and wore some of my old LL Bean camoflage clothes. They are still in good condition and I like them. It is made from polar fleece and was purchased in 1986 or 1987. That speaks well on how the clothing wears.

No more wood bag's 4 me after 3 year's with my back going out every Febuary I realized it was the wood
carryer when bringing in a load and the back being coacked.Up graded 2 a wood hand truck and all has been good.

Does this apply to their boots? I really could use a pair for winter.

I think so? I got an email, when I clicked the discount was listed on the home page. I figured if I gave the hearth link directly, it would be more on topic. :)

It seems like nice quality stuff. I remember wearing their Bean Boots around the stables for years. Agree with Dennis that prices have gone up and I don't love that they try to keep up with "fashion" w/r/t women's and girls' clothing - girls get dirty and play hard too - but that's for another topic. LOL.

I use one like this. The closed ends contain the mess pretty well. You can also fold it up and stash it anywhere. I usually put two or three loads on the edge of the hearth, then fold up the bark inside and get rid of it next time I go out.

I like this one too. Foldable and the closed ends are a must. I just can't understand a carrier with open ends so the mess just falls right out. Same thing with all those fancy firewood holders. They have no bottom! What the heck?

here's one i got and can't say enough about it http://www.plowhearth.com/canvas-log-carrier_p71.html. its canvas duck vs. synthetic. it hauled a lot of wood for my little jotul last year. one of the best buys i've made. slightly different than the one here but really rugged....and keeps the bark in chips in the bag, not on the floor = :) wife.

This is what I love about the Bean one - closed ends - and it stands on its own while you fill it. Folds flat in the house, and the bark/dirt/leaf bits stay off the floor.
