50 degrees in the house this afternoon and a cold wet rainy day. Perfect day to fire up the woodstove and tap in to the bottle of Strathisla I picked up the other day.

It's damp and muggy here, albeit on the chilly side. Not gonna fire up the stove tonight, looks like we will be by the end of the week for sure, though.

It is muggy here.

A big cold front is coming this weekend i cant wait High"s in the 50's lows in the low 30's.

We have snow falling ATM. Hopefully won't amount to much. Got a nice warm fire going.

Sun and more sun here. Days without rain are really starting to add up here.

We're seeing sunshine for the first time in a while. Rain coming back tomorrow & Sunday & maybe we'll have a dry Columbus Day. Need a clear, dry day to do some work outside before the white stuff hits us...

Rained all night last night through the night. That is good. We need water. Hopefully we get more today. 50::Fright now. Boiler radiating heat nicely from the morning fire for hot water. CT Do you have all your wood ready for the year?

built a fire last evening when we got home from the local HS football game, pitched a couple of oak splits on it overnight and getting ready to throw on a couple of ash splits for a "maintainer" to hold me off til this evening. Temps are in the low 50's and its breezy, overcast and damp at the moment. Front is here now, gonna get chilly for the next week or so (finally!!)

Today it is 51 outside and rainy 72 inside and no electric heat on and no fire yet

Had fire going all day. Most of the day yesterday too with just a couple splits for overnight. Been nice and toasty in here.

Temps are headed down from the eighties to the fifties right now here and supposed start the cold and wet tonight and through the next two days. The stove is ready but I am not and am gonna try to gut it out. Thirties tomorrow night.

But if history is any clue there will probably be a Super Cedar catch fire around sundown tomorrow.

Very mild up this way yesterday and today . . . but according
to the weather guessers the weather should be changing tonight and
getting chillier . . . today was pretty balmy -- short sleeve weather.

COOOOOLD! At sunrise it was 27,by 9AM it was 32,by 1030 I was sweating my arse off carrying deadfall Red,Bur & White Oak 75 ft up a steep hill from out of the now dry creek bed. Wore me out quick lol.44 right now w/ strong NW gusts. But ended up with just over 1 p/u load, takes between 4-5 trailer loads to equal that amount. Will be much easier when I go back out there next week, just a few minutes at the sawbuck & splitting the bigger ones & that's more for the 2014-16 stash;)

Well, it's about time you got back here.
Ja, well... life and projects kept me busy.

At least with the latest snow I got my large brush pile burned down.
