I have it.

I am used to the old setup that required at least one stove in need of something every three hours. A stove under 400 degrees? Needs wood! Only coals left? Needs wood! Just woke up? Gotta load a stove!

Now I'll stop buy a stove look at it and go "Yup, still going."

What the hell am I suppose to do with all this free time?

Maybe I will take up knitting and cat juggling...

A cat juggling throw down with the Pope? Challenge accepted.

Where do I get my membership card? Do we have group meetings?

Simple, now you can get into compulsive chimney watching, whereby every time you put wood in the stove you can run outside and watch the smoke come out of the chimney. Try it, its fun.....................................

I have that.......

Keep checking the stoves..... The cat juggling is not nearly as rewarding as one might initially believe :(

This is disappointing to hear. I might need a fourth stove.

In the late winter, when I'm making my maple syrup, that is all I do almost every damm day.....check a stove here, check a stove there.
check the stove in the kitchen, load as needed. Go out to the barn, check and adjust that stove and add wood as needed. Go out to the maple sap evaporator (OOOOH, BABY....can that bassturd ever eat the wood!)......load around a face cord every other hour in that sucker.....then back to the kitchen to check on and adjust that one.....back to the barn.....back to the evaporator...

This year, we'll have the NZ3000 added to the mix........but you wanna hear something funny?

I don't mind it one bit......I LOVE IT.....

Dammit I thought I had an honest-to-goodness one-of-a-kind problem......I do that all the time.

Glad to hear that I'm not the only one!!

I say we meet at the stove. Apparently, I'm going to check on it once an hour whether it needs it or not...

You know you have it when you run outside in t shirt shorts and flip flops while snowing.

Took me years to get over that chimney watching thing. But checking the stoves won't ever stop. "Is it burning right?" "Is it over firing?" "Should I go get a life?"

The last time I did it I slipped on the snow and hurt my shoulder bad. I decided my neighbor getting a little smoke in his nose was not anywhere near that painful. And I don't like the guy anyway.

As long as my neighbor's chimney smokes more than all three of my chimneys combined, my urge to check the chimney remains in check.

Sad part about it is that I don't have any neighbors close by. Just into it for the hobby value.................LOL

Great, another club to join.
"Hi, my name's Dave, and I have OCSC. It's been exactly 43 min.....wait, I'll be right back."
My chair is about 15' from the stove. I can see the thermo's and watch the fire from here, yet I still find myself going to the stove just to check or adjust.
I wonder if this will ease once I get a newer stove that burns longer? NAH!

You still check the stove. You just don't do anything.
