Start on next year's supply now. It is nicer to work on firewood in the winter, in my opinion, and you'll get better burning results with firewood that has seasoned longer. A lot of guys here will tell you even one full year isn't long enough. i agree. My three year old supply is burning really well this fall.

The wood for next year? or
Is the wood in the car port for this year & seasoned & dry?

Like the way you think;
"Time to start cutting again" ;)
Get a couple years ahead & you'll always be burning dry wood :)

We had considered a portable garage for firewood storage too but instead put up a big shed and just use a corner of it for the winter's supply. Neighbor put up the steel carport for his wood (he has an OWB) and he really likes it.

The wood in there now was a grapple load from 2 years ago. One load last me 2 years. The portable canvas garage has been good to me , alot better then tarps. But the canvas is getting worn so in the spring I will be building a shed.

Like the portable garages too.

Take one hunitng for base camp sometimes. Lots of room. EZ set up.
Everything can be in a dry area. Cheaper than a big tent.

Steve, I'm wondering if the frame is strong enough that you could put a steel roof on it. You would not have to have the sides covered.
