...when there's a fire in the stove at home.

Lit 'er up for the first time last night, reloaded this morning. No more newbie jitters with the 30, It's a trusted household appliance now.

Kids woke up and ate their bowls of cereal on the hearth, I warmed my feet from the recliner after my shower. The furnace will take some needed rest during this shoulder weather. I can clean the uglies out of my stacks. Life is good.

That is all. Carry about your business.

Wow, we've been burning for over a month now. Life is different here in Maine, but I sure do agree that having a fire going makes things better.

+1

Burning here for a month as well, but light shoulder wood mostly, and one week of cold weather black locust burning.

been Burning since the end of September not 24/7.

got to agree when the stove is lit and the furnace aint runnin i am warm and tingly. probably cause a cord of wood cost me $70 and a tank of propane is $300 and the wood last longer! keep her goin!!

I was slow to light it this year. I have a NG furnace and just let it take care of things for a while. NG is actually pretty inexpensive, but my house is too big for the furnace I have, so I am starting to NEED the wood stove running.
