Got one in the mail yesterday.

Didn't pay a ton of attention to everything, but they had "Wild Things" for $99 and 22 ton splitters for $999.

I dont know if i would buy a TSC wood splitter, I've heard good and bad things about them. Anybody got any feedback on what type of wood splitter to buy? Looking for best bang for the buck.

I bought mine at TSC (Speeco/Huskee 22 ton) as have many others on the site. They are pretty well regarded.

Tractor Supply's Huskee 22-ton splitter gets very good reviews here . . . MTDs from other places are OK . . . the cadillas out there however are the Iron and Oaks and Timberwolfs (but you also pay a bit more).

Probably a good idea for you to start a new thread and post your circumstances, experience, and expectations. You'll get a lot more advice that way, and it will be specific to your needs, instead of buried in TSC sale thread.

Ok good deal, looks like i might be in the market for one soon.

Was looking at bfads.net and ran across a welder at TSC. its a 125amp mig for $99, that might go on my "maybe" list.

Is anybody else finding decent deals for black friday? I'm not a willing participant, but if I'm forced to go out, I might as well find something I like!

Oh yeah, I did see a 32" TV from menards that has a decent Mail-in rebate on it making it $127. I also saw an interesting little single stage snow thrower for $179 after rebate. I might be in the market for that TV for the man-cave, but I don't need the snowthrower.

Saw wireless headphones on the menards ad for $7, too. That could be cool for watching movies when people are trying to sleep.

Never got into the whole Black Friday deal . . . for that matter a few years ago my wife and I stopped giving and asked folks to stop giving us presents . . . instead we like to spend the much more care-free and stress-free season focusing on the important parts of the holiday season -- namely being with those we love.

forget presents. I'm buying crap for myself while my wife waits in a ten hour line at Kohls to save $1.23 on socks. I HATE black friday, but I'd rather waste it inside a Menards or Tractor Supply. People are more civil at those stores and while there are often some good deals, the crowds are lesser. I also like those stores because when I buy stuff on BF there, I'm more likely to save >$25 on a single item making it SLIGHTLY more worth my time.

Otherwise you'll find me drinking a Latte in the Barnes and Noble and reading home improvement books or automotive magazines while everybody else is out shopping.

Very happy with my huskee. Has seen 10+ cords in past 2 months. $999 is their typical sale price. I'm kinda surprised they didn't back it down to at least $950 for this black friday jazz.

I don't even bother looking at black Friday ad's....no matter how good of a deal, its not worth fighting the general public. I'll gladly pay a few extra bucks not to have to deal with that chaos...

Seriously though, with all of the electronic sales, I would caution everyone to fully understand what they are buying. Its rare to find a good, quality electronic item for sale well below the normal range (Friday only sale) - usually its the "one off" lower quality items that headline the black Friday ad's.

I glanced at our TSC flyer, and the Huskee 22 ton splitter (B&S engine) is $899 up here. Pure Michigan - bargain log splitters!!

From the many MANY threads and posts on splitters, the Huskee 22 is a top favorite. Hard to beat it for the money, especially at $999. I think you can get another 10% off by opening an account with TSC. Then, just pay it off right away and you've saved yourself another $100!

Like virtually everything else, there is the occasional defect or, more likely than not, improper set up by the store personnel. I would have gone for the Huskee 22 ton but found a new Huskee 35 for only $1000! More splitter than I really need but who could pass that up!

Good thing about the TSC ad, it starts today!

Ahmen! I won't go anywhere near a shopping center on Black Friday. I have to go to work anyway.
