Like some of you, I am on the email notification list of Robbie at Green Team. I find it interesting that the ship dates to the stores in my area are getting closer together, specifically Danvers, MA Lowes which is scheduled for another 22 ton load just ten days since the last one. If the activity here is any indication, very few, if any of us are paying the premium price Lowes is charging for GTs but it certainly appears that many folks are. Just sayin'

I'm on his list as well. It seems to me that the shipments to the Lowes in Augusta aren't as frequent as they have been in the past. But I don't pay too much attention to it as I have no intent to buy any.

Same here. I thought that the shipments to Lowes in my area are not as frequent as last year's. I also don't pay much attention either. Just usually open the email and see what stores are getting them then hit delete. You won't see me paying $274/ton for those.....

I have only seen 2 deliveries to my local store. They still have some left(hard to count them in the racks). Seems they aren't selling as much GT's this season.

Inferno's-Timber heats-Green Supreme's and some stove chow have been moving pretty quick! I have bouycotted the GT's and didn't bother with the other brands. I went to HD for Pres-to-logs which are burning as good as the GT's IMHO.

GOOD!,... if the manuf is left with an over stock of them,.. then we'll quickly see them go back to 209 where they should be. I like GT's too, but not at $270,... I think the Green Supremes are nearly as good with alot less ash,... and the Sets are even better than GT's, both at 209.

Hey Jay,... didnt you originally hate the Presto-Logs in your reviews,.. or was that a diff brand ??

I had trouble with the batch I burned. Tried another(never posted results) batch later that season with similar problems. Tried them again last season after Lignetics took the conifer off the green label bags. And found them to be much better. This season they seem even better(lower ash-more heat). IMHO ligs tripped up on the fiber or something. They have it worked out now and are back to what I am used to seeing from them.

I wouldn't pay the $280 for the green label ligs a hardware store is selling, But I will buy the Pres-to-logs in a heart beat for the $209 HD is selling em for. They aint no shoulder pellet with the heat they are throwing out! I can burn them all season long.

I to keep getting lots of emails with projected ship dates to the same stores. It's the UN-educated folk that's driving this one!

I have about a ton of GT's left and I keep buying when they have them, but my local Lowes is still at $4.38 a bag

Oh, the joy of buying pellets in the off season. After the first of the year, prices should dip just as I am out of my GT ($209/tn sunken cost) and maybe I won't have to crack open the three ton reserve of Barefoot and Somerset. Here's to another full season of the shoulder stuff!

Why??

PS. PM sent.

Local lowes was(I haven't checked since October) selling them for $279/ton cuase they are premium pellets. Aren't they all the same? Lowes is selling other brands for $213/ton. No 10% discounts either.

I'm happy with the Pres-to-logs HD is selling for $209/ton and they excepted the lowes 10% coupon. I think these presto's are hotter and cleaner than the GT's.

No PTLs here in eastern Mass that I know of....

Lots of ash with the GT's I have been burning so far this season. Some were 2011 leftovers but the 2012 seem to be the same. Heat is good and the price I paid in August at Lowes was fantastic, but still lots of ash. I don't mind the extra cleanouts for the price I paid, but will not pay the $279/ton next year. Looks like HD is making a move on Lowes, I still see them advertising their pellets at $209/ton (Firesides last I checked). It is interesting all of the orders Lowes is placing for GT's... let's see how this pricing plays out over the winter. If they have too much inventory left at the end of the season then April or May could be the new August in terms of pricing at Lowes.

I'm burning Green Golds this fall (which I think are pretty much the same as Green Team, right?) and I like them. All last year I burned barefoots, which everyone raves about, but I think my GGs are burning about the same as the Barefoots -- same heat and same amount of ash. But I have to tell you: I'm not getting a deal on either of them. Over here in Eastern, Mass., pellets ain't cheap. Just an observation.

All the Greene products are the exact same pellet. Greene Gold, Greene Team, Greene Team Platinum etc.

I'm just curious. How do you know that?

I'm burning some MWP I got for $167 delivered! As usual burning well without a lot of ash building up in my burn pot. At that price point, I 'll stick with them. Will switch to softies, same brand , when the deep cold sets in.

X2

I have 2 tons of the Green Supreme's and have burned about 20 bags so far. IMHO they SUCK. My stove, Environfire EF 2, likes the Stove Chows & Alegainies but these, Not so much. If I set my Dial-a-Fire to any setting lower then (Clock Positions) 10 o'clock my stove goes out. The heat isn't very hot when set on high and yes I played with all the setting for the air and feed so don't ask that. I am very dissatisfied and will never buy these again.Has anyone else have the same results with these?

Green Supreme and GREENE TEAM are 2 different pellets.

I'm getting confused now. So Green Gold, Green Team, and Green Team Platinum are all the same and sold at Lowe's ? The Green Supreme are something different and not sold by Lowes?
Which are the better of the two?

Green Supreme and Greene Team Platinum are being sold by the Lowe's near me. Green SUPREME are made by New England Wood Pellet Co. out of Jaffrey NH. Greene TEAM, GOLD, and PLATINUM are made by the Greene Team Co. out of Pa and are better than the Green Supreme.
