Picked me up a new Stihl MS250C a couple months ago. Specifically bought it for the EZ start feature. Love it.
It has the 18" bar and plenty of power. A neighbor lost about 10 trees in last storm. Cut them up, no problem.
But I cut mainly oak slab wood. Stack about 5-6 good size slabs on my rack and cut them up into 24" pieces. Cut 9 bundles with the saw so far.

I also have a 029. Bought it about 15 years ago. Always been hard to start. Rope pulls too hard. Seems like too much compression for me. I have disc problem in my neck and that seemed to aggravate problem. With the 250 EZ start, I can start that thing 20-30 times a day with no effort.

So, if anybody has arm/shoulder/neck problems, check out the EZ start.

I haven't had the chance to try the EZ start, but I can see your point - my 039 pulls tough. Cheers!

Gonna do a video with my MS230 one day. Not too many good vids out there of how to properly use the EZ2Start. Great saws!

I bought a new 250C-BE too about two months ago. Absolutly love that EasyStart. I have a bad left wrist and that saw is fabulous. My worse to start saw is my little 191T ! That 46mm piston, short stroke and no relief is a tough combination for such a little gal!

Good to know, I have a couple of herniated neck discs that took a lot of time and a lot of effort to get better. Not in a hurry to do another year of physical therapy, so appreciate the info.
