What killed the trees?

the sugar maple is the only one that died it lookes like it diden't get enough sun

the power company wont take the power lines down because their prepping fore winter storms that we haven't had yet lol

Will the power Co. be selecting which trees go? & do (or contract out) the felling?

no we have to take them out our selves the lines are on our property but the power company sead that they will take down the lines so the trees don't fall in a storm and take out power so it works out good that will be my 2015 2016 wood supply==c

After this year & you made it thru, probably a good idea to do some tree management.
Next storm could roll in a few miles more north.
Better to make it fire wood now, than down power lines & then fire wood later ;)

Thats goingto be quite a bit of wood, good for You
