2000 with 89k on it.... and it drives like a 1972 with 450k. POS. This is my only american vehicle purchase i've ever made, and i'll never do it again. Junk. it's for sale if anyone wants it. 3500. putting it on CL this weekend.

It's a Dodge :)

Bet it handles just as good as my pellet hauler, a 27 year old S10 with the venerable iron duke 4 banger. It almost has enough power to get out of its own way with a half ton in the back. Thank God I don't have to drive it often.

Mine's a '99 with 165K. I don't dare put 1/2 ton in it. Nervous about 20 bags. Usually only get 15.

I still have half a hopper full of Potomac's in there.... i topped it off with one of the ripped bags (i clipped the corner of the bed liner loading it) so later tonight those should make their way into the burn chamber.

I owned a Dodge dakota, and it was junk. But dont knock american made full size trucks ! They have come a LONG way. But for a compact, cant beat Toyota <>

I like my 250K + '97 Ram. The interior is plastic crap but he running gear has been bulletproof... I got over my love for imports long ago after two Toyotas, one Opel, one BMW yada-yada-yada. But I still am fond of the classic British sports car.

I have a 2003 Dodge Dakota quad cab with the v8 and only 38k for mileage, I love it. Do not make the mistake I did and purchase a chevy colorado absolutley junk I sold it.

Brokenwing,

I have a 2003 Dakota v8 with 78k, at 38k you are on the threshold of hell. After I crossed 36k tranny went and numerous engine light specials and electrical issues. Agggravating PIA. But it does haul chit around and tow the boat. Only reason I have held on to it is because its paid for and I'm not into it for much money. When it wigs out visit some of the dodge owners support groups online. :p I have found some helpful info on many.

meh, I only buy american. I have a 1995 GMC sierra with 237,000 miles on it and the old man has a 1995 Ford F250 diesel with 312,000 miles on it. either truck can handle a ton of pellets fine. we usually use his truck though since mine has a cap on it.

Toyotas are great, but American made trucks are pretty darn good nowadays. At work, we are running 2002ish Ford and Chevy 4x4s that all have 250,000+miles and they have been very good. My Chevy has 265,000 and burns about a quart of oil every 6,000mi. These trucks see nothing but stop and go traffic every day. The only trucks I've never cared for though are Dodges. Great Cummins engine if you can keep everything around it from falling apart.

I hope this truck holds up I love it. I am dissabled so I do not drive as much as most. I use to be a chevy man but that went out the windows. Gmc jimmy with low mileage the hole front end let go, Chevy cavalier less then then 80k the engine blew, Chevy colorado do not get me started. Trust me all my vehicles are treated like babys and well maintained, just can not fine a general motors product that will hold up for me. We will see how the dodge goes, and if all else fails I still have ford lol.

Honestly, the toyota uses more american parts and labor than gm does. Those are made in mexico and canada for the most part. Look up where it really comes from, because it's NOT detroit.

Kinda like your insert uses global parts.

Its a global economy these days.

As for the easyblaze, I find them a bit ashy. Good news is, very little fines, burn hot, nice size, smell good.
I rate them a 7.5 on a scale of 1 to 10.

2000 Chevy 2500,.. 1 ton of sets right at the tailgate (cause its easier to off-load),... plus 20 bags of GS's in front of that near the cab,...(2800#'s),... and the American Made Iron was begging for more!
