I looked at the owners manual, and I STILL can't figure out how it works w/o electricity.

Only thing I saw is the Vent is 6". Like it is made to replace a wood eater. Didn't get much farther as its a Breakwell! I

I worked on an Englander 25-PFS with a 6" inch top mounted flue and it still needed a positive draft blower to wok well!

Wow.... Lots of cash...

I like the idea. Now there are a few out there.

I wonder if it is like the Franco Belge coal stove I used to have. You would fill a vertical hopper that had a sealed lid on top. It ran out the narrow bottom opening onto a grate where the coal burned. As the coal burned away, it was replaced by more coal than ran out of the bottom of the hopper. The coal inside the hopper would not burn because there was no oxygen up there. Of course, it was convection heat, which this must be if it uses no electricity. Interesting for when AHBL day comes.

Thats kinda what it looks like. They include a special too for the lid. So it must be sealed tight I'd say. It also lookes like it has convection tubes.

What happens if you open the hopper when it still has some fuel left? Or do you have too let it fun dry before refueling again?

From reading the manual, they isolate the main pellet chamber from the outside with another 'preload' chamber. You open the top of the preload chamber, fill it, close the lid and then using that tool, rotate the preload chamber, which dumps into the main chamber. That way it keeps the main chamber sealed all the time. Kind of like a rotating door at a hotel. Pretty neat idea.

Hello

Does anyone have a link to the manual?

Thanks Jay

I do not see a multi-layer pc circuit board with a top mounted LED micro switch Control Panel? Gee, that would make it much harder to operate! LOL

Well they had to do something to keep you electronic/EEs out of the loop, it cuts down on possible causes of trouble.

Definitely all wetware malfunctions with this puppy.

Just read the manual.

Its not a Gravity feed system. To me, its more of a Wood stove with a Pellet basket and a hopper/resiviour.

You discharge up to 15-30 lbs of fuel into the fuel chamber. And it has secondary air ports to fully combust all gases (if its hot enough). The convection blower is the only electronic component on it.

It can burn between 5-12 hrs depending on burn rate (low air to high air)

Oh and its NOT UL Listed?

I was thinking the same thing. The Wiseway is a true gravity feed pellet stove.

I was thinking the same thing. The Wiseway is a true gravity feed pellet stove.

And the Wiseway is UL Listed. IIRC. :)

This Breckwell looks pretty fancy and has the looks over the Wiseway, may even have it beat in Output BTU's.

They both have there Pro's and Cons. Now that there are a few out there, maybe more will jump on board.

I like the idea of the gravity feed over the charge feed (one large load to burn over several hours). They both have there own secondary combustion system, but I like the convection blower on the Breckwell to help create a convection current and extract as many BTU as possible.

Eliminating all the motors, blowers, and controllers will cut down on failures and needed parts. I like my woodstove, but it doesn't burn pellets very well (pellet basket). And the collection, storing, and seasoning of wood..... Well, it takes time, energy, and space.

These are a Hybrid of sorts. Not everyone has the space for 3 yrs worth of wood :) So pellets are great alternative.

Looking forward more Manufacturers getting on board.

Its not a constant supply of fuel.

It looks as if you have to "Charge" the burn area with fuel. Then it burns that charge over several hours .

Or at least thats what I got out of it??

Did you read the description. They can not even spell the brand name correctly. DUMB ASS. Not sure I would buy a stove that they can not spell correctly.

Too much cash for this cheapskate!
