Vermont Wood Pellets tour

Members of the forum have been invited to tour the plant in No. Clarendon, Vermont by Chris Brooks (CEO).
I have been asked to contact them to set up a tour sometime between Christmas and New Years.
As soon as I have their work schedule, I will post it here.

Response back from Vermont Wood Pellets:
We would love to give a tour. Always looking for insights into how we can make a better pellet and I am sure this group has some ideas. Better make sure that whomever comes wears boots, I don't want to give the standard "clean" tour to this group.
Please give me some idea when you would like the tour(s). For the next week I will be in Minnesota and Wisconsin working with a number of indian tribes that want to open mills like ours. Then back and available at the mill until Christmas. I will be away from the mill Dec 27th and 28th and available again on the 29th and on into January. One request, I would like to make sure the mill is running when we give the tour, so shoot some dates and we will work it out.

I'm about 3 and 3/4 hours from Bangor. Wouldn't mind a road trip for a tour, but only if it's NOT the $2.00 tour. Have any more details on this, subsailor???

Wait wait wait ... the MWP plan is in/near Bangor? Spent two great years living in Bangor, and it's in the back of my mind now and then.

Maine Woods Pellet Co is in Athens, Maine. Roughly 1 hour west of Bangor, 15 mins north of Skowhegan.
Corinth Pellets is in Corinth, Maine. Only about 20 mins northwest of Bangor.
Geneva Woods Fuels is in Strong, Maine. About 2 hours west of Bangor and 1 hour west of Skowhegan.
Northeast Pellets is in Ashland, Maine. About 2.5 hours north of Bangor.
F.E. Wood & Sons Natural Energy (Pellet plant opening in 2013) is in Baldwin, ME. About 2.5 hours southwest of Bangor and 45 mins northwest of Portland.

im interested provided its not snowing out.... or i can hitch a ride with someone else. Not taking my truck that far, and while i do have snow tires on my car, it's a rwd sports car.... goes ok, but its like 3" off the ground, so any significant sow fall and i just plow the town for free. lol

I have the Chevy HD crew, with snow tires on it for the winter. Can you say 13 mpg

My HD heads up to Pittsburg NH area for winter snowmobiling duty. Have seen rain turn to 24" of snow within hours. With the "hills" up there, need 4x4 with real tires, not Flatlander tires.
