Good wood and great food!! I love oysters Ive been getting the chincoteague oysters off of the eastern shore of VA they are deliciou. I imagine it must be pretty cool to have your own oyster beds.

The oysters look fantastic (the steamers look real good as well).
Do you have a shellfish grant that you plant them on?

Thanks it's been fun growing the oysters. No permits or paperwork for either the oysters or the steamers since it is entirely noncommercial. The oysters are grown through a program run by a local unversity. Even though I hope to have more oysters than I know what to do with I cannot sell them but they provide everything. Once they get to 3-4" I bring them close to home.

The steamers and other shellfish can be taken within limits. I only take small amounts for my own use, don't want to pick the beach clean. Had a few last night, today prob make fried clams.

Yeah oysters all up and down the east coast are supposed to be great. Eat them in all months with an "R", including late AuRgust! For the the cultured ones no beds, cages, otherwise no difference. Just haul them up to clean, sort and eat. (If I double replied on this my bad).
