3 Years into wood boiler and people are starting to call me to see if I want trees they have. Friend of mine has 65+ wooded acres and only uses it for hunting. Asked me if I wanted a few pines? I said sure and met up with him. wanted 5 20' pines dropped and removed for shooting lanes. Most would say more work than BTUs but since has had me drop a 90' tree which I can't recover until after deer season + he dropped a few trees from around his barn and said they are all mine. I can drive right up to them! Again I don't know what kind of wood yet but I'm sure I'll be posting to help with ID tomorrow.
2 days later get an offer to take a 90' pine that is cut up. Asked where I need to pick it up and they said just tell me where you want the dump truck to drop it. I know it's pine but I'm thinking shoulder season for fall 2013 or spring/fall 2014. And it's bucked and delivered! I can get used to this.

Nice. Unfortunately, many of us pellet pigs don't share as well! ;lol

Nice to be the "go to guy ,to give wood to" :)
Now they are delivering it.
You gotta be living right :)

You'll post pictures ?

If you have water storage with your wood boiler there is no need to save your pine for the shoulder season. In my situation I do a 12 hour burn every other day to heat storage which carries me through for the next 36 hours regardless of wood ,it just so happen that today its all Aspen

perfect

The delivered pine fell through(no pun intended). Said when they felled it it was all rotted. He said he'd keep me in mind next time though. Did score on a few small cherry(?) trees. small truck load.
First chance I get to go snap a picture of the 90' I dropped I will post for I.D. Can't be walking around spooking the deer during the season. That's my direction from the property owner so I abide by it.
