I was thinking something along these lines also...Sometimes we put a little bit too much thought into this pellet game we play!! Heinz doesn't always get the exact same tomatoes, but the ketchup always tastes the same!

If you really think about it though, with the amount of other flavorings in ketchup, you could probably start with cucumbers instead of tomatoes and it'd still taste the same. Vinegar, corn syrup, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, sugar........you can hide the taste of some pretty crappy tomatoes with all those extra flavors covering it up.

Hallelujah and Amen to that.

Of course we could all just look for bags with the PFI stamp on them
We can always trust the results from PFI.

They never grey over the results.
If they rate it it must be good RIGHT!

lol

Another crappy institute with their hand out for my federal tax dollars.

Just sayin'

For many, many reasons, I will abstain from this one.
But...If I were to chime in, I would say tha#4...Ahhh, forget it!

I'm afraid to say much. But getting pellets shipped straight from the mill is always risky. Lets just say a special brew "could be" sent by currier. I much perfer to get my goods straight from a ton that was destined to be consumed by the average joe's pellet stove.

Ask me how I know? :p

Better be a tarp on those pellets before it leaves the yard and 100% indoor storage.

Eric
That truck never left the yard...well it did, but she was empty when she left. All 23 tons sitting inside tonight where they are safe and dry.
Not 100% indoor storage, but about 98%. I always keep a couple of truckloads of our best sellers (Barefoot and Turman) out in the yard because it makes loading the delivery trucks much easier and quicker. Never out there more than a day or two.

Says turman is oos on your website - unload the truck please?
Things are not always as they appear....
When certain inventory gets tight, I will try and save them for existing customers only. I used to put on the website "For existing customers only", until someone called the Attorney General and reported it. In turn, the Attorney General's office contacted me and told me this was "discrimination."
I tried to explain to her that the entire premise of owning a small business is taking care of those who are loyal to you. She continued to recite to me the statutes and law or whatever blah, blah, blah.
To date, I have just listed anything that I am low on as unavailable when inventory is tight- as my regulars typically know they can come and get some. I refuse to let a bunch of D-Bag bureaucrats in patent-leather shoes who have never owned a business tell me how to run mine. I have 8 truckloads scheduled to come in by Christmas and then it will lighten up. Anyways, to hell with Hartford, and I hope I don't regret putting this in writing. Please read quickly, this message will self destruct!!!
