Yeah, well not the first time I have made that mistake. Doing our hardwood floors was an adventure!
So basically is there any chimney that isn't at least 64 square inches? LOL!
I was also thinking that since my chimney is on the outside of the house once the air goes into the wall it has to travel at least 18" horizontally before it even gets to the chimney itself. Issue?

Yes a lot of lined chimneys have a 6" x 6" flue size.

Eaton,

Please look at the time stamps on the two posts.

Smokey...After checking the time stamps, I conclude that my work may very well have been copied!!;)

But i will give you a makeup question to set things straight!!

If the flue was 12"x12"...How many sguare inches would it be??

Bonus points will be awarded if you can convert that to square feet!!

1 square foot 144 square inches.

OK...You win (100% plus 5 bonus points will be credited to you)! If you were closer I would bring a few bags of pellets and my humblest apology for accusing you of cheating!! I now see you have an excellent skill set in the field of basic math!

Tomorrow we work on derivatives!:p

Well Eaton,

I haven't done much with derivatives since advanced calculus class which I took after deferential equations many moons ago.
