Sure a pretty spot you got there dave. You somewhere around Fairbanks?

Near Wasilla
300 miles S of Fairbanks. It's cold up there :)

That picture just looks cold. Down my way it's looking like another warmer winter setting up. I was hoping for an average cold winter (relative to where I live, not Alalska) after our mild winter last year but I'm thinking the new normal is going to be mild winters for me.

Ah, more toward Anchorage, north end of the Cook Inlet there... you up Highway 3 toward Delani Park?

Nice pic Dave. Looks like you got the earthquake aftermath cleaned up pretty quick and the piles back up and straight.

Wait a couple weeks and we'll see what you say then

Picture deceiving . Far end of the pile is where it fell over. May get to it next week.
Will be above 0°. Hard to stack wood in mittens & more fun to work when fingers stay warm. :)

only thing prettier would be if there were gold on your property...don't tell me...

Wasilla & Palmer area

Ah. Gotcha. I've been up in those parts a time or two. Had some great days skiing up at Hatcher Pass. Not to mention Turnagain Pass, Thompson Pass/Valdez etc. I sure love the state you live in. Lucky son of a ...:)

Odd Winter so far . . . typically it seems as though if you get snow, we don't . . . and vice versa. This year neither of us have had any appreciable snow yet . . . not that Iam complaining. My metal roofing arrives this Tuesday and I need some clear days for the contractor to get it on.

My sister and brother in law seem to be pretty happy with the "toy" they bought this past summer . . . especially since they would normally be chomping at the bit right now to ride their snowmachines.

Here they are in late November.

Dave, for handling that wood when cold, a set of log tongs will work wonders.

Nice wood shed-O-wood. However, I hope you have good lighting, getting wood after dark. Would hate for you to get impaled by those formidable moose antlers. Looks to be around eye level, yikes!
