Confused who rate's the pellets?

Don't believe everything printed on the bag. Also, I wouldn't pay $6.25 for any bag of pellets, let along Energex.

Lemme see if I can explain.
Energex has the PFI label and they are using the PFI premium grade specs <1.% ash content. Super Premium would have been <.5% ash content I suspect its the older PFI label as they have since changed to a bar label system spring of 2012. EPA has joined the PFI standards program and also has since dumped the Super Premium grade.
Green Suprems are a NEWP pellet and NEWP has dropped the PFI lables from their product. I believe they are now doing there own testing in-house. I think I read they have there own label on the bags . I also though I read somewhere(I can't locate it) That a few other mills are also doing the same. I wish I could find the article as it had the mills listed and a title of sorts. I'll keep digging

Better yet, don't believe ANYTHING printed on a bag!
The ONLY data and information you need about a pellet will come to you after burning that pellet in YOUR stove. And as for the PFI?.....Hahahahaha

Rate the pellets yourself how do they perform for you. Hang around here folks will tell you what works for them and what to stay away from. Also remember that pellets can vary from batch to batch CT talked about this in another post. There are some companies that are very consistent ie Turman's .
