so I bought this stove, it was a showroom model from last year. so far it burns nice, I think. I am new to this all. originally the receipt was sent to horizontal vent instead of the vertical stack like we have. ran this way for about a week. no real issue except a lot of ash and "sparks" when pellets would fall into the burn bowl. that seems to have stopped after I was able to set the receipt to the correct setting. I have it hooked up to a thermo and a separate one to run the fan/heat pump so far no heat pump running which is a good thing. it seems to cycle properly on the thermo.

when its running on the lowest setting, how high should the flame be in the pot? mine ranges from a few inched above the pot up to almost to the top of the window.

also I have it to stay running but on the lowest setting when the thermo cuts its off instead of cycling off completely to save the ignigator. how much of a pain/expense is it to replace the ignigator?

I would look up your manual online if you did not get a manual with the stove. Maybe see if you can find a youtube video of it in operation. Flames can go up and down when feeding pots. Ignitor prices can go all over the place.

the manula was simple operation. didnt event say anything about the receipts for the exhaust, found that on here as well as the password to get to the menu.

I have the larger Elena model (48000 BTU max), and when running in the lowest power, during Modulate Work, the flame is mostly just barely higher than the burn pot, but it does sometimes have a big flame, to the top of the window, but it settles down soon.

i guess thats the same thing mine is doing. kind of goes from a small flame to a large flame but back down to a small flame while in modulation. any idea where to get prices for an ignitor ?

Just curious what a "receipt" is, in this situation?

As for the sparks coming out of the fire pot when new pellets are falling, that is perfectly normal for most top auger pellet stoves, and also indicates a good airflow. Lack of "sparks" would be something I'd be a little worried about. Hope the ash hasn't plugged up the stove or exhaust already.

the receipt is i am guessing the auger feed rate and fan speed based on the draft of the flue pipe. a low setting of the receipt is meant for horziontial thru wall flue and high setting is for a standard vertical flue with good draft..

or so i found on this forum.

yeah not a big fan of spelling. lol

Begining to to think you were using a bad language conversion software

The ignitor in my Ecoteck Elena looks like it is easy to replace (don't know about your smaller Veronica stove, if the access is as good). It appears to be a standard cylindrical "cartridge heater" style, 250 watts, with a threaded collar on the end, and two wires with faston terminals. The US distributor for Ecoteck is North Forge Heating in Pennsylvania. I asked them for a price on an ignitor, as I wanted a spare, but they never called back....I was expecting a $300 price quote from them. I suspect you can find a much cheaper (probably $50) equiv from Grainger or McMaster-Carr, just have to find one of the same dimensions and wattage, and hopefully with the same threaded (metric I suspect) collar.

thanks for the info. it does seem easy to access.
